Harvest Share Community Food Program is pleased to announce the Bread Box Award Event.

Awards will be handed out at our Anniversary Dinner.

Harvest Share recognizes the efforts of groups and individuals that do projects for our food programs. The awards honor those who did the most during the last year to increase public awareness of hunger in our area. Prizes are presented in 4 categories

A first and second place winner is selected in each category. The main award, an actual breadbox is presented to the first place winners for each category. The breadbox's rotate to someone new every year. Judging will be based on originality of the event, number of people involved and the amount of money or food raised for Harvest Share. This is a rotating Award, given annually to the winning recipients.

The Valerie Gutteridge Award which will be handed out annually at the Anniversary Dinner Event. This award will be given to the volunteer that goes beyond in assisting Harvest Share with their programs. Along with the award a $100 gift certificate at a local retailer. This awards intent is to acknowledge the recipient and remember Val, who was a long term volunteer and friend of Harvest Share. Val was murdered in 2004

This event is a win/win event and we encourage everyone to participate to assist us in decreasing hunger in our community
