Ontario Works Recipients or Community Service Hours: Hours for Ontario Works may be completed at the Meal Programs. We have shifts available on Mondays and Wednesdays upstairs at the Bobby Orr Community Centre. Shifts begin at 9 am. You will be asked to track your own hours.

High School Students: You can do your volunteering for your school with us. We have time on Wednesdays from 3:30 until 6 upstairs at the BOCC. You will be asked to track your own hours.

General Public Food Sorting: There are usually three public sorting events each year centered on three major holidays: Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. During these holidays, we invite the public to come and help us sort food. To register and help with the sorting please call ahead of time and register your name with us at 774-9111. We also need help with picking up the food during these times. If you have a vehicle and would like to assist us please call at the above number.

Special Events Volunteers: We need people to participate in local events throughout the year with the aim of increasing public awareness and involvement while increasing food and fund donations. Events include collecting food donations, raffle ticket sales, car washes, etc. Many of these events occur over the weekend or in the evening.

Administration, Data Entry and General Office Help: Assist us with administrative, computer, and office work at the office. This could include typing, answering phones or greeting the public.

What to wear: Make sure you or your group is wearing comfy clothes (layers are good - sometimes it can be cold at the programs) Easy to stand shoes with covered toes such as sneakers et.
